A chahé (茶荷, "tea lotus" or "tea box") is a special utensil used in the Chinese tea ceremony. It is a small container (bowl, tray) for examining dry tea leaves. Tea is poured into a chahé before brewing to appreciate its aroma, shape, and color, as well as for easy pouring into a teapot or gaiwan.

Hand made, high temperature firing (1200 °C).
